You can consult a guidance counselor if you have questions about your academic or professional future. This service is there to inform you about college and university programs and the job market. They can also help you choose your study program or career based on your interests, skills, and personality.

Getting ready for my university admission

Heading to university after college? The Cégep’s Guidance Services team is available to help you with your admission and preparation procedures. The Cégep invites you to make an appointment with a guidance counselor regarding the following topics:

  • Costs of a university session;
  • Number of places in restricted programs;
  • Transition activities (open doors) at universities;
  • Preparation to apply for admission to university sites;
  • Particularities of universities outside Quebec;
  • Particularities of the selection processes for restricted programs;
  • Preparation for certain selection tests (all tools relevant to the selection process, except interview simulation);
  • Support in the portfolio preparation;
  • Program specifics (co-op placements, international internships, etc.).

On their websites, some universities also publish data on their placement graduates, in addition to providing information on their programs.
