The Board of Directors of the Fondation Cornélius-Brotherton du Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles announces the appointment of Lise Bourg as its new Executive Director. The members recently unanimously endorsed the proposal, and Ms. Bourg took office on February 6.
Lise Bourg knows the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles very well, having worked there since 1993. Responsible for student life services at the Carleton-sur-Mer campus, she has worked closely with the Foundation on several issues over the years. Putting the college population at the center of her concerns, as well as the mission of the Cégep and that of the Foundation, she has all the assets to create relationships of trust with the college community and external partners.
Her multiple social and community involvements, notably as a municipal councilor for 11 years, as well as her presence on numerous boards of directors and various committees make her a person recognized for her commitments in the community.
Her commitment to the Cégep, her leadership and her rigor represents invaluable assets that will help the Foundation in its mission with the students of Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles. The Board of Directors of the Foundation and the entire team of volunteers in place welcome Ms. Bourg and provide her with the necessary support in the performance of her duties.

About the Cornelius-Brotherton Foundation
In addition to promoting education in general and particularly in the region, all the actions of the Cornelius-Brotherton Foundation aim to facilitate access to post-secondary education for Gaspesians and Medelinots. The Foundation organizes benefit activities to raise funds to finance its projects. The revenues from these activities are redistributed in the form of scholarships for students and financial support for projects related to the development of programs of study and/or the revitalization of student life on the 4 campuses of the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles: Gaspé, the Magdalen Islands, Carleton-sur-Mer and the École des pêches et de l’aquaculture du Québec in Grande-Rivière.
