Scout it out
Scout it out is an activity with a limited number of places in total and per program. Although the deadline for registration is Sunday, November 8 at 11.59 pm, we may close registration sooner if the maximum capacity is reached. A registration is deemed complete when we have all the requested documents.
What is Scout it out?
This activity gives you the chance to confirm your choice of study program for the start of the next academic year and to get to know the Gaspé campus.
Who is eligible?
If you live in a region other than that of Gaspésie and Magdalen Islands and are eligible to attend college next fall, then this activity is for you.
Activity Schedule
On November 19th, a bus chartered by the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles will leave from Montréal to take you to Gaspé. Depending on registrations, it may stop at the following locations: Drummondville, Lévis, La Pocatière, Rivière-du-Loup, Rimouski and Matane. Upon arrival in Gaspé, meals and accommodation will be provided.
On November 20th, you will have the opportunity to attend a class in the program of your choice and meet the faculty and student community. In addition to visiting the establishment, you will participate in an afternoon outdoor activity that will allow you to become familiar with the area.
On November 21th, the bus will take you back home.
Costs
Each person must pay the $100 fee for their registration to be considered complete. These fees include transportation by chartered bus from Montreal (or from the chosen stop) to the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles as well as meals, lodging (possible dormitories) and activities on site. Participants are responsible for providing their own meals during bus transportation.

How to Register
For you registration to be considered, you must complete all these steps by Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
- Fill in the registration form;
- Complete and email the parental consent form (for minors) to the following email address: information@cegepgim.ca;
- Pay the registration fee of $100.
This activity has a maximum number of participants to complete its implementation. Please note that that depending on the number of participants, they may close before the deadline. For a registration to be considered complete, it must include the submitted form, signed and submitted parental authorization, and payment received. Your registration will be considered once we have all this information.
There will be NO refund issued.
Prepare your Departure
In anticipation of your visit, please bring notably:
- Your meal and snacks or money to buy your meal during the bus transportation on November 19 and 21.
- Walking shoes;
- Warm clothing for outdoor activities;
- A toque;
- Mittens;
- A scarf;
- A bathing suit
- A reusable water bottle.
- Musical instruments are welcome (optional)
Please note that all the items required for the night will be provided (bedding, pillow, etc.).
