Attestations of college studies
The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles proposes several short-term technical programs (between four months and two years) leading to an attestation of college studies (ACS). These programs consist solely of specific training, and do not include general academic courses (French, English, physical education, philosophy and complementary courses), unlike diplomas of college studies (DCS).
In line with the realities and needs of the job market, these programs are particularly well suited to the objectives of adults wishing to perfect their skills in a specific field. They are also ideal for those wishing to acquire new qualifications or skills to transform their professional lives or reorient their careers.
Please note that ACS programs are offered in French.
Teaching modes
Depending on the program, ACSs are offered in a variety of teaching modes: live (synchronous) or deferred (asynchronous) face-to-face or distance learning. Teaching modes are specified at the beginning of each program page.

Earning a DCS
After completing an ACS, you can take college-level general education courses such as French, English, physical education, philosophy and complementary courses, or have them recognized (if they have already been taken) to qualify for a DCS. If you’re a distance learner, these courses can be taken via Cégep virtuel (online streaming from the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles).
