Admission

Simply follow the steps below to apply for admission to the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles or the École des pêches et de l’aquaculture du Québec.

Are you a resident of Canada? 

You may be exempt from tuition fees if you apply for admission to one of these programs (in French).

Preuniversity programs:
  • Arts, lettres et communication
  • Sciences de la nature
  • Sciences humaines
Technical programs:
  • Archives médicales
  • Soins infirmiers
  • Techniques de l’aquaculture
  • Techniques du tourisme d’aventure
  • Technologie de maintenance industrielle
  • Technologie de transformation des produits aquatiques

 

To benefit from the exemption, the program must be completed in Quebec (online learning not admissible).

 

Other programs

In 2024-2025, for other programs at our CEGEP, students who are not residents of Quebec* must pay:

  • $8.95 per hour of lessons for part-time studies;
  • $1,833 per session for full-time studies.

* People who were born in a Canadian province other than Quebec, or who are permanent residents or Canadian citizens, but who cannot prove having lived in Quebec for 12 months or more, are considered non-residents of Quebec.

    Step 2 Consult the Conditions of Admission

    Admission requirements are specified on each program page.

    If you do not meet all the requirements listed, the CEGEP may admit a person on the basis that they have training that is deemed equivalent. An individual may also be admitted if he or she has sufficient training and experience as determined by the college and has been out of full-time study for a cumulative period of at least 24 months.

    Step 3 Fill out the Admission Form

    Applications for admission must be completed on the website of the Service régional d’admission au collégial de Québec (SRACQ), by the following deadlines:

    Only one application per round is possible. 

    Step 4 Receive Your Admission Answer
    • The answer to your application for admission for the fall semester will be sent to you no later than:
    • 1st Round: April 6
    • 2nd Round: May 23
    • 3rd Round: June 15

    The answer to your application for admission for the winter semester will be sent to you no later than:

    • 1st Round: November 20
    • 2nd Round: December 15

After your admission

After your admission, you are invited to consult the Back to School page which is put online each year in the spring. In particular, you will need to create your Omnivox account, confirm your course selection, pay your semester fees and take possession of your schedule.

Semester fees

Semester fees are non-refundable after registration has been confirmed. Semester fees for the 2022-2024 year at the Gaspé Campus are $168.
