The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles ready for the start of the 2023-2024 school year

As the start of the new school year approaches, Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles is anticipating 1,237 students this fall, compared to 1,132 during the 2022-2023 academic year. Classes start on August 17.  

  

Of the 1,237 people enrolled, 674 will be studying in Gaspé, including 89 in the English sector, 157 will be studying in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine campus, 128 at the École des pêches et d’aquaculture du Québec (ÉPAQ) and 278 at the Carleton-sur-Mer campus.

The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles offers a wide range of educational options, featuring over thirty programs.  

Although this picture is provisional, the Cégep is delighted with the growth in its student population. Director of Studies Serge Rochon is fully satisfied with this encouraging situation: “The initial data for the start of the new school year are highly encouraging and affirm that students from our region and beyond are selecting our splendid region as their educational destination. This is undoubtedly fantastic news!”
