Roles of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the highest decision-making body of the CEGEP and is responsible for conducting the CEGEP’s mission. It ensures that the public funds entrusted to the CEGEP are used fully to achieve its mission and in a manner that meets the highest ethical standards. As such, board members shall:
- Decide on the orientations of the CEGEP (mission, strategic plan, etc.);
- Adopt and review policies and regulations;
- Exercise oversight and control (budget, curriculums, etc.);
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of human, material, financial, and technical resources;
- Appoint and evaluate key leaders;
- Report on the management of the CEGEP (annual report, audited financial statements, etc.).
