The Cégep stands out in its recruitment: new websites and development of an employer brand
The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles is launching today its new website, the new website of the École des pêches et de l’aquaculture du Québec (ÉPAQ), as well as its employer brand. The latter aims to optimize the recruitment of staff and highlight the strengths of work within the establishment.
At the origin of the design of this employer brand, a large-scale survey was conducted among the staff of the various campuses to identify and highlight the elements creating their attachment to the Cégep. This survey, designed to reveal the DNA of the establishment, was distributed to the staff members and was the subject of an in-depth analysis. The conclusion is unequivocal: the Cégep represents a second family for everyone.
The employer brand was therefore deployed around this idea: “Take a seat, join the big Cégep family”. The many strengths and advantages of the establishment have been highlighted in the new Careers section of the Cégep’s website and on the establishment’s LinkedIn account.
The creative concept
A photo session made it possible to realize this concept featuring the staff of the various Cégep campuses. The idea of “taking a seat” is embodied by staff members taking a seat around a sofa where a space is free. They are waiting for their future colleague who only may take his place in his new family. This creative and playful concept communicates a reassuring familiarity and a spontaneous welcome, recalling the good atmosphere that reigns in families when we get together to have a good time. This also underlines the strong attachment of the Cégep staff to the establishment, as well as the camaraderie that unites them.
New web platforms
The Cégep and ÉPAQ websites are getting a makeover with a complete overhaul of each site. Inspired by new graphic standards, websites are more user-friendly and up to date. These sites are also now implemented taking mobile phone navigation into account. They have been developed according to the accessibility standards required by the Government of Quebec. They keep the same addresses as before, namely www.cegepgim.ca/en and www.epaq.qc.ca
After the creation, earlier this year, of these graphic standards and the revision of its slogan, Discover your true nature, the launch of the new website and the employer brand ended a series of works on the image of the establishment, both to optimize the attraction of both male and female students and staff members.
