Step 1 : Admission application

Studying in Québec

Cégeps (Collège d'Enseignement Général et Professionel) are the first step in post-secondary education in Québec. Universities are the second one. Cégeps teach two types of programs: technical studies are designed to prepare students for work in the labour market. Technical students may also continue to study at university. Pre-university programs prepare students for university studies. Both types of programs lead to a DEC (diplôme d'études collégiales).

All students who want to be admitted into an educational institution that is a member of the SRACQ must send in an admission application before the deadline in view of their admission for the school year beginning at the end of August for the fall session, and in mid-January for the winter session.
