Out-of-province students

In order to apply to this college, please follow these steps:

Step 1 : Choose a program of study

Step 2 : Verify the admission conditions

Verify that you have the prerequisite courses and conditions for admission to your chosen program. Conditions are listed in each program page.

Step 3 :Fill out the admission form

Fill out the admission form on our on-line admission service, SRACQ: www.sracq.qc.ca. before the deadline dates posted on this site.

Documents you will need to submit
  • In order to complete your request for admission, you must send the following documents to the SRACQ:
  • The Request for Admission form
  • A legible copy of your transcripts for last three years of study.
  • Copies of diplomas that you have attained.
  • A legible copy of your birth certificate that indicates the names of your parents and your place of birth.  Please refer to http://canada.gc.ca/cdns/wallet/wallet_f.html
  • A certified check or money order made out the SRACQ for $80 to cover the cost of the analysis of your dossier.

When you make an admission request, the SRACQ will assign you a confirmation number.  It is important to indicate this number on each of the photocopies of your documents that you send to the SRACQ.

Only admission requests that are complete and have been paid for will be analyzed.

When you arrive at the Cégep, you must bring original or official copies of your documents (transcripts, diplomas and birth certificate) to the Registrar’s Office.

Step 4: Pay the tuition fees

If your admission request is accepted, you must pay the tuition fees related to your status in Quebec as an out-of-province student.  Quebec residents pay tuition fees of about $100 CA per semester.

Full-time students from other Canadian provinces must pay the 100$ tuition fee AND approximately 1 319$ per semester.  Part-time students pay $6.44 per course hour as well as the $100 tuition  fee. 

The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles will email you information concerning tuition fees.  Out-of-province students will be advised of their status by email and their additional fees.

If you are a resident of Quebec, but you were born in another province or territory of Canada, or if you are a permanent resident of Canada, you must complete the Attestation of Québec Resident Status for Canadian Citizens and permanent Residents of Canada. Please send this document to the  Registrar's Office.

Step 5 : Confirm your course choices

After your admission, the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles will email you information on how to confirm your courses.  You must create an account and then confirm you course choices using the on-line Student Service Center, OMNIVOX.

Step 6 : Confirm your schedule

To register for the semester you must confirm your schedule on-line via OMNIVOX.   Your schedule will be accessible on-line 4 or 5 days prior to the start of the semester.  Accessing it confirms your registration.

Step 7 :  Classes start!

Classes start on or around August 20 in the Fall and finish around December 20.  The winter semester starts around January 17 and finishes around May 25. The current academic calendar is available on the Cégep Website.
