Ministerial Examination: students at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles make the grade

For the third timesince 2004, the success rate of the students writing the December 2012 English Literature Ministry Exam at the Cegep de la Gaspésie et des Îles was 100%.  To put this achievement into perspective, the provincial success rate for this mandatory college exit exam is just over 80%.

The Gaspé Campus: English Section wishes to congratulate each of the students who completed this exam last December.  As well, we extend a special thanks to Mrs. Helen Bond, the English Literature professor at the College, for her excellent preparatory work with this group.  To be eligible to write the Ministry Exit Exam, students must pass 3 of the 4 obligatory English Literature courses in their program.  The  exam itself, you may remember, is a grueling literary analysis in which students province-wide are given three literary texts at 8:30 in the morning.  Students have four consecutive hours to choose one of the texts, read it, analyze it and write a 750-word (minimum) literary analysis of it.

This is an obligatory exam that all college-level students must write in order to graduate with their college diploma (DEC).

 Well done, all of you!!
